Bala Cynwyd, PA – In an effort to foster communication and contact, Gwynedd Mercy Academy in conjunction with Global Internet Management, has produced a complex directory that includes all students, employees, current families and alumni. A number of search fields are provided and include: First name, Last name, Maiden Name, Class of, City, State and College. Most notably, each person or family controls their own profile.
This power to control your own profile is possible because of the user management function within the website software. Each person is given a user profile which includes a user name and password and a level of permissions within the website. Users affiliated with the school are able to create and edit content such as their profile or other sections of the website.
This directory is only one highlight of the Gwynedd Mercy website. Four portals have been created for Parents, Alumni, Students and Staff. Each portal provides important information for each group of users such as schedules, services and documents that can be downloaded and printed for future reference.
Other sections of the website provide insight into the experience of being a student at Gwynedd Mercy, activities, athletics, admissions and many more subjects. Many folders are available to the public and others containing private information are password-protected and can only be viewed by users who log into the site.
